How the calculation works
ABV uses total pure alcohol volume divided by total drink volume. Brix uses total sugar mass divided by total drink mass, so dilution lowers both ABV and Brix. Standard shaken and stirred estimates use the recipe’s pre-dilution ABV to estimate added water automatically; selecting or editing a custom amount overrides them. Volumes are treated as additive. Automatic density is an estimate; enter a known density for greater accuracy.
